Tonto Dikeh has officially sent "King Tonto" into retirement, announcing a profound spiritual transformation that has everyone talking.

​In a powerful video shared on the first day of March 2026, the actress revealed that she will no longer be addressed by her famous "King" moniker—a title she famously adopted over eight years ago. According to her, this change isn't just a "rebrand," but a direct instruction from the Holy Spirit.

​"In alignment with the will and purpose of God upon my life, I will no longer be addressed as King Tonto Dikeh. You can call me the Woman of God. You can call me Evangelist Tonto. You can call me Tonto Dikeh. You can also call me Auntie Tonto, if you like... but I will no longer be addressed as King Tonto, and this is on the instruction of the Holy Spirit."

​Tonto, who has been increasingly open about her faith and even shared her discipleship certificate recently, described this moment as a "spiritual realignment". She thanked her fans for sticking by her through what she calls her journey "from a mess to a message".

​It’s a new month and a new dawn for the "Evangelist". While some critics are wondering if this means she's quitting the entertainment scene for good, her supporters are already flooding her page with "Hallelujahs" and "Amens".
