Hamamat Montia’s Playful Response to IShowSpeed Goes Viral: “Come Back to Ghana If You Want My Number”

Ghanaian entrepreneur and CEO of Africa’s first Shea Butter Museum, Hamamat Montia, has captured social media attention with her confident and cheeky reply to American streamer IShowSpeed (Darren Watkins Jr.).

During his viral January 2026 trip to Ghana, IShowSpeed visited the Shea Butter Museum in Accra, where he experienced a famous shea butter massage that became one of the highlights of his five-hour livestream. After returning to the US, the 21-year-old content creator openly shared his regret in interviews and streams, saying he wished he had asked for Hamamat’s phone number, describing her as “so beautiful” and calling it one of his biggest disappointments from the tour.

In a recent interview, Hamamat addressed the buzz directly. GhanaWeb reports that she stated: “If he wants my number, he should come to Ghana, he knows the way to Ghana.” She emphasized her busy schedule as a businesswoman, adding that her contact isn’t easy to obtain.

Pulse.com.gh and other outlets covered similar responses, where she playfully challenged him to return, noting that Ghana loves him and considers it his “home.” Social media posts and reels have quoted variations like: “I’m a busy businesswoman. If IShowSpeed wants my number, he should work for it because it’s not easy to get. If he really wants my number, he knows how to get to Ghana. He can come here and find it.”

The exchange has boosted visibility for the Shea Butter Museum (which saw a surge in bookings post-visit) and sparked fun debates online about celebrity crushes, confidence, and cross-cultural vibes.

This lighthearted moment highlights how IShowSpeed’s Ghana tour continues to create lasting buzz months later. Will Speed make a return trip?
