Former Vice President Kamala Harris has launched a stinging critique of President Donald Trump’s decision to launch a joint military strike with Israel against Iran, calling it an “unnecessary gamble with American lives.”

Following the confirmation that the strikes successfully targeted Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, Harris warned that the administration is dragging the United States into a "regime-change war" without the consent of the public.

​"Let me be clear: I am opposed to a regime-change war in Iran, and our troops are being put in harm’s way for the sake of Trump’s war of choice," Harris stated during a high-profile media appearance. She argued that the escalation has bypassed traditional diplomatic safeguards and places American service members at grave risk for an outcome that may not improve national security.
