In a massive boost for his campaign, Comrade Ibeabuchi Moses (IBB) has been officially endorsed by the NANS Ebonyi Axis as the preferred candidate for NANS Senate President.
The race for the NANS Senate Presidency has taken a dramatic turn as the Ebonyi Axis of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) officially threw its weight behind Comrade Ibeabuchi Moses, popularly known as IBB. In a statement released by his Campaign Management Team, the endorsement was described as 'unanimous,' following extensive consultations with key student leaders and union representatives across the state.
IBB, a Master’s student at Ebonyi State University and the Pioneer Coordinator of NANS Zone F (South East), is being celebrated by his supporters for his 'proven leadership capacity' and consistent track record. This move is seen as a major strategic victory, as it consolidates his support base within his home state before the national convention.

However, this endorsement adds an interesting layer of tension to the race. You will recall that we previously blogged about another strong contender from Ebonyi State, Comrade Olisa Alfred. With both candidates hailing from the same axis, the 'unanimous' nature of this endorsement for IBB suggests a significant shift in the local political climate. While Olisa Alfred remains a formidable opponent, IBB’s camp is now calling on NANS senators and stakeholders across the federation to align with what they describe as a "progressive movement."
The Campaign Management Team stated that this endorsement is not just a vote of confidence but a 'clear call to higher service.' As the 'battle for Ebonyi' seems to be tilting in IBB's favor, all eyes are now on Olisa Alfred’s camp to see how they respond to this home-front alignment.
One thing is certain: the road to the NANS Senate Presidency is heating up, and the South East is clearly at the center of the action!
