JAMB Releases Friday and Saturday UTME Results: Over 1.8 Million Candidates Receive Scores [See How to Check]

​The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the results for candidates who sat for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) on Friday, April 17, and Saturday, April 18. This latest release follows the earlier results made available for Thursday candidates, bringing the total number of processed results to a staggering 1,897,692 so far.

​According to a statement released on Sunday evening by JAMB’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, over 1.2 million results from the Friday and Saturday batches are now accessible to candidates. This news brings a wave of relief to students nationwide who have been eagerly awaiting their scores to begin their tertiary admission processing. JAMB has confirmed that these releases cover the first three days of the nationwide examination exercise.

​How to Check Your 2026 UTME Result via SMS:

To ensure a smooth process and avoid website congestion, JAMB has advised all candidates to use the official SMS-based checking system. Follow these simple steps:

1. ​Using the phone (SIM) number you used for your 2026 UTME registration, open your messaging app.
2. ​Type UTMERESULT (one word, all caps).
3. ​Send the message to 55019 or 66019.
4. ​Wait for the automated response containing your scores for each subject.

​Important Statistics for the 2026 UTME:

• ​Thursday, April 16: 632,752 results released.
• ​Fri & Sat, April 17-18: 1,264,940 results released.
• ​Total Released to Date: 1,897,692.
