ICPC Set to Arraign Former Kaduna Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, Over Allegations of Money Laundering and Fraud

 ​A press release shared online by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has stirred significant conversation across social media platforms. 

The commission has officially announced its move to arraign the former Governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, alongside other individuals, in both Federal and State High Courts in Kaduna. The news, which broke on March 23, 2026, has quickly become a trending topic as Nigerians react to the gravity of the charges brought against the former governor.

​According to the official statement, El-Rufai is scheduled to appear at the Federal High Court in Kaduna on Tuesday, March 24, 2024. The charges in this particular suit, numbered FHC/KD/73/2026, include the conversion and possession of public property as well as money laundering. He is to be arraigned alongside one Joel Adoga. The commission emphasized that these charges were filed following a thorough investigation into the management of state resources during his tenure.
