EFCC Arraigns Blessing CEO in Lagos over Alleged Case N36m Fraud

The Economic Department and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has officially arraigned social media influencer and relationship therapist Okoro Blessing Nkiruka, widely known as Blessing CEO, before a Federal High Court in Lagos over an alleged N36 million fraud case. During the proceedings, the defence counsel disclosed that the defendant has already made a partial refund of N24 million to the complainant in a bid to resolve the matter.

The Lagos Zonal Directorate of the EFCC has docked controversial relationship expert Blessing CEO before Justice D.I. Dipeolu of the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi. She faces a two-count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretence and stealing to the tune of N36 million.

According to details presented in court, the anti-graft agency alleges that the social media personality obtained the multi-million naira sum from a complainant, Mrs. Ifeyinwa Nonye Okoye, between July 14 and 17, 2024. The prosecution stated that the funds were collected under the alleged false pretence of leasing a six-bedroom detached duplex situated at No. 1B, Tunbosun Osobu Street, Off Kuboye Road, Lekki, Lagos State—a representation the defendant knew to be false.
